Tropical Lodge

Super nuit à Sangalle dans l’oasis après une grosse journée de randonnée. Le logement était tres bien équipé et propre. La piscine est très agréable. Les repas proposés sont très bons et le personnel très gentil et serviable. Nous recommandons ce logement.

Les prix des bouteilles d’eau sont un peu chers (15 soles les 2,5L)

Nous avons apprécié le cadre magnifique et la piscine du lodge. Pause idéale lors de la randonnée du trek dans le canyon de colca.

Pool was nice! The sun disappeared at 3pm so make sure you get in with time to enjoy a fresh water swim. We didn't eat dinner here as had read bad things so can't comment on that. The breakfast was good - two large pancakes with butter and jam and a litre of hot water with teas. Our room was nice - three beds with clean bedding and comfy beds. The shower in our private bathroom was great too - warm and high pressure! One of the best in south america so far!

They said we could only have breakfast from 6 30am however when we got there, two people were finishing their breakfast. They also charge a rate of usd to sol at 3.8 sol to 1 usd when it's actually 3.4 sol to 1 usd. We ended up paying a bit more but not what they quoted us. Not a big deal just a heads up :) Water here is 15sol for 2.5l so buy some before you come into the oasis. And remember to take your plastic bottles out to recycle up top as they burn the rubbish.

Room amenities were good by Sangalle standards - big room with proper brick/concrete walls, good private bathroom, some furniture, power sockets (!!!). Nice territory. Good communication via Booking, host helped to organise 2 mules to go to the top of the mountain next morning.

Hotel is furthest from the bridge to the oasis, you’ll have to hike for about 30 min more up and then all the way down to reach the lodge. Not something you enjoy at the dusk after 10 hour hike. Dinner was awful, but maybe that’s normal for Sangalle. Our lunch in San Juan for the same price of 25 soles pp was times better.
