"Very good option for the oasis"

Really good price, very nice swimming pool, decent dinner provided for 25 soles, nice breakfast included, access to the river was lovely.

Loud music being played next door which didn’t go on too late but did marr the peacefulness of the afternoon.

Big private rooms with private en-suite bathroom. Big and nice pool! They even prepared a vegan breakfast for me (pancakes without eggs and avocado) which I appreciated a lot!

You need to pay for wifi. To buy water is expensive. We didn’t like the dinner: we asked for a vegetarian option and they brought a small plate of rice, mashed potatoes sauce and a spoon of tomate sauce - for 24 soles.

"I told that we are in the paradise."

The hostel is situated in a beautiful location surrounded with lots of gardens and threes. There is a swimming pool too. The place is designed nicely for relaxation. The room was quite big and we had a private bathroom. The food was very good.

The bathroom wasn't very clean.

"Okay place for an overnighter before trekking on."

Bed was really comfortable. Nice garden by the pool. Great location. Very friendly staff. Lunch was great! Soup and chicken filet ( excellent chicken!)

Just bad timing, but there was no water to shower or otherwise, but they did discount the price. Only a few chairs by the pool, so nowhere to sit in the garden. Dinner was very basic and small portions ( not really enough for hungry trekkers)

"Superb"

we were three friends doing the Colca Canyon together and booked at the tropical lodge. We had a nice welcome from Alfredo and the staff. The rooms are basic but with a sufficient comfort to rest after a trek, and the shower is nice and warm. The place is really nice with a access to the river where it is possible to swim, and to the swimming pool with a nice temperature. Ideal to have a resting moment after the hard walk ! Alfredo prepares meals for 25 soles and there’s beers and a tiny tienda to buy stuff. Definitely a heaven’s place in a nice landscape !

You should NOT trust the information given by the owner regarding the exact hour of the sunrise or the walking times needed to get to other parts of the canyon too much ;)
