We had the most exceptional stay at riad Esmeralda, from the moment we arrived we got 5 star treatment, Youssef and Mohammad run a super tight ship, they are an absolute credit to this riad well done on your amazing work guys! On arrival, Mohammad spent time explaining all about the area and pinning amazing locations onto our Google Maps to explore throughout our stay. We were then met by the super pleasant Youssef in the mornings to deliver our delicious breakfast and have fabulous breakfast chats! Nothing was too much to ask of these guys! Don’t think twice about booking this accommodation you have certainly found a little gem here! Our riad was Walking distance to the square, shops/restaurants/pharmacies/ bakeries all along the way!The room was impeccable & cleaned daily by the sweetest lady. The guys organised super smooth transport to and from the riad to the airport with the timing to perfection. We can’t wait to return. Goeie locatie, parkeer gelegenheid. Is schaars in de Medina. Prachtig interieur, goed verwarmd en mooi teras. We verbleven er kort dus helaas kan ik er niet veel meer over vertellen. Maar zeker een prachtig paleis van een riad. Betoverend

The Riad is like a palace. Absolutely beautiful. Yousef and Muhammad are superb hosts. The breakfast is wonderful.

Some softer pillows would have been to my liking but I slept well.

Nulla da eccepire riguardo alla camera, un po' meno x il bagno, anche se abbastanza grande, freddo perché mancava il riscaldamento, sporco ma nn x la pulizia, ma bensì x i sanitari.

Ein traumhaft schönes, ruhiges und romantisches Riad – wie aus 1001 Nacht! 💫 Die liebevoll gestaltete Einrichtung, der wunderschöne Innenhof mit Pool und die stilvoll eingerichteten Zimmer machen den Aufenthalt unvergesslich. (Tipp: Wenn es das Budget erlaubt, unbedingt eines der beiden größeren Zimmer buchen – es lohnt sich!) Das Team ist außergewöhnlich herzlich, aufmerksam und liest einem (fast) jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab – und macht selbst Unmögliches möglich (vielen Dank, Youssef!). Nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag in Marrakesch ist das Riad eine wahre Oase der Ruhe – wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen und geborgen gefühlt. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse war ebenfalls ein Highlight, besonders die Avocado-Creme – einfach himmlisch! Für Erstbesucher empfehlen wir den Pick-up-Service, da das Riad – wie viele in der Medina – etwas versteckt liegt, was mit Gepäck schnell zur Herausforderung werden kann. Wer Romantik, Ruhe, orientalisches Flair und echte Gastfreundschaft sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Ein Ort, an den man gern zurückkehrt. ❤️

The Riad is stunning. Of all its spaces, the fireplace by the lounge and the terrace became my favorite sanctuaries. The lounge, warmed by the gentle glow of the fire, offered a rare sense of calm—an inviting place to sit, breathe, and let the world slow down. It felt intimate and grounding, perfect for moments of solitude and reflection after the energy of the city’s. The terrace, on the other hand, carried a different kind of magic. Open to the sky, peaceful and unhurried, it was where I found true tranquility. Whether in the soft light of the morning or the hush of the evening, it offered warmth, stillness, and space to simply be. A place I would return to at any time.

Overall our stay was wonderful! The location allowed for easy walkability, the decor and riad was beautiful and quaint, and the daily rooftop breakfast was great. Youssef made himself available with excellent responsiveness and communication to help as needed. He also coordinated some local tour, personal drivers and transportation to the airport and Casablanca.

Keep in mind, the main communal areas of the Riad do not have air conditioning. There is a single unit in the main bedroom (but not bathrooms) that staff turn off during the day. This is typical of most so not a fault, just a reminder because it takes a bit too cool down after being out in the heat all day.
