Great stay, large spacious private room, close to a quiet beach, great pizzas and pupusa nearby, el zonte and el tunco easily accessible via chicken bus or cheap Uber

Can be a little noisy in the evening

The score for this is really hard as the hostal itself and owners were really nice. Good pool and close to the beach and the bed was comfy. However…

It was all external factors that ruined our stay here but needed to be considered in the score. The ‘private’ room was all open round the top and so you could hear everything from all the dorms, common area and literally all the surroundings. It was the worst sleep we have had on our trip despite the bed being comfy cos was kept awake all night by roosters, dogs, people coughing. Had to leave to get some sleep.
