Hacienda Tamarindo

Staff was excellent, all was very clean and the location was great

The staff were friendly and helpful, and Mayra is the best greeter and hostess! My room was particularly nice, with views to the Caribbean both east and south. Breakfasts had a great special every day. The surroundings were quiet, and the hotel was not situated on the road.

Not an easy place to stay if you don't have a car. Also, nothing to do with the hotel, but the teenage car racers were intent on making a much noise as they could with their boom boxes and hyped-up exhaust pipes. Sorry for the locals!

Spacious rooms. Very nice library space with decent prices for drinks. Gorgeous pool with a view. Offers beach towels, chairs, and cooler.

Property (especially rooms) are worn out (yet this is quite good compared to other properties around Esperanza). Rooms 21 and 22 are by the road that leads to ERC and can be loud especially in early mornings when trucks/cars pass by.

WiFi doesn’t work at all. the walls are really thin and it gets loud at night if other hosts/ security chill in the common areas

This place is awesome! The staff, the breakfast, the rooms were just perfect! I recommend it!

The hotel had everything you could want and beautiful inside/outside living space. Our room was beautifully decorated, very clean and very comfortable. Location is perfect and the view from the pool is just terrific. Management thought of everything from coolers and lunches to take to the beach, chairs to rent and beach towels every day. Awesome.

The staff is extremely kind and helpful. The hotel is in a beautiful quiet location yet still only minutes to Esperanza. It was nice being able to grab free chairs for the beach and rent snorkel equipment for the days that we needed them. The honor system of renting equipment and getting drinks and snacks made everything quick and available at all times of the day. The pool was nice to come back to after a day of exploring and take a dip before getting ready to go out to dinner. Having a free full breakfast available at the hotel was nice because the one breakfast place in town often has a long wait and the hotels breakfast had many choices and was very good. Our room was spacious and the A/C worked well. We would definitely stay at Hacienda Tamarindo again.

We were not able to access the wifi in our room even though we were told they have added booster to make it possible but our kids in a different room had better luck. However, there was no problem once you went out into the common areas to access wifi.
