Aurland Guesthouse

The location was great with a nice view outside! 2 minutes walking distance to the local grocery store. Perfect for family stay. The host was welcoming. Rooms were clean. Enjoyed my stay here.

Great location, in front or the fjordes. There is a supermarket at 1 min walking distance. Price is fair and the place has a lot of space. It was a confortable stay.

The photos of the room were included and the description improved, so I think it is fair to amend my previous review. It would be nice to have a coffe machine and a table to sit in the garden outside when the weather is nice. The aparment is good and ok for staying, overall needs some renovation as some stuff are quite old. Not so much light come inside. If you have the chance, I would recommend to book the house upstairs as it has a terrace and a grill area.

Some days before the arrival we received information from the structure that our serervation due to their mistake was not available and either need to cancel the reservation or they was able to offer us other apartment (smaller) downstairs with a discount. We agreed to go in other structure, unfortunately the other aprtment was in a besement (so the view of the fjord was visible only from the garden outside. Wi Fi password was not working, we received other password after check with structure. Washing machine was losing water (but we did not use) About discont to receive, our info received from structure in booking.com message was as below: ****quote*** You will stay in our apartment at Odden 11 adress. Your apartment is downstairs and the door is open with a key inside. There is no need for making any changes in your reservation. The discount of 700 NOK will be refunded tou you later, after your stay. ****unquote**** but after that we didn't receive any answer to our several request of information about the refund, same answer received from Booking.com where they continue to tell us that structure is not answering even to them. it is not a matter of the amount to receive but about the professionalism of the structure. in our tour of Norway we stayed in 5 structure and only on this one we got problem.

The check in was very problematic. We waited a few hours till they responded to our urgent phone calls and messages regarding a late check in.

The location is perfect! The place itself was clean and tidy. And there's a supermarket and a restaurant right next.

The place was very minimal, which is not really a big complaint. We missed some stuff that is usually available at hotels - shower gel, a 2nd towel for the face, coffee/tea. The small things. Also it was a bit strange that we had to put the covers on the sheets ourselves. But then again - it took us 5 minutes or so.

Very good location with wonderful view!
