Kingfisher Cottage

The host was a lovely lady and pleasant.

Unfortunately when we arrived the room on the top surface appeared clean after the host left we proceeded to use the toilet after a long drive it was beyond filthy and so was the basin it seemed the toilet was never cleaned after the previous guests whenever that was and the residue was dry and disgusting. I had to physically wash that toilet and basin before using it. Then my hair brush accidentally fell under the bed the filth under the bed was revolting. I am an infection specialist and this was a great put off for me. Walking on the floors without shoes was another mistake my feet was black in colour from the filth. I was then already anxious with my stay there as cleanliness is a big part for me. I had to stay since we paid already and it was not refundable. There was an old rusty used razor in the shower 🚿 and this again confirmed my suspicion that this room was never cleaned. Thick dust also noted on the sides of the tumble dryer. Really dissatisfied and disappointed as all other reviews gave outstanding scores and therefore we booked it. Needless to say it's not what our experience was like. Cleanliness should be a huge focus when advertising a property. Thank you

Everything was excellent 👌

The parking was a bit difficult however Wendy allowed me to park in front of her garage which resolved the parking issue.

A warm welcome always sets the tone and our host received us at the entrance upon arrival. Very kind, considerate, accommodating & great communication❤️ They make you feel like family. Excellent location and very safe. We slept with windows and doors open all night! 🙏 My vehicle parked inside the premises and a gate remote was provided👍 The place was spotless & beds absolutely comfy with clean pretty linen 🤗 The cottage allows u privacy from the main house. All basic groceries/necessities provided:sugar, tea, coffee, filtered water, shower gel, washing machine,ironing board, iron, dishes, detergent and lovely soft towels. Great shower!

The accessories were readily available. Room was neat The place is safe and quiet.
