Baansiri Chiangrai

The frontdesk staffs during my stay in February - Dao and May were very helpful - answered my many questions about Chiang Rai and Thai food, they are very thoughtful people, friendly, also very responsible at work. Thank you May & Dao! My room was spacious and bright, overall comfortable.

there is No electric kettle in the room, and the walls between the rooms were not soundproof - there were a couple nights I couldn't sleep due to the TV sounds and 1-3am conversation of the guests next door, fortunately some guests were considerate, who didn't make noises in the middle of night. The owner was not hospitable to me, even though I had extended my stay there due to my health condition under the hot weather, I would stay with other respectful and hospitable hosts I had met often in Thailand for my next trip! But I am just a short term customer there, hopefully the owner would appreciate the staffs who work almost everyday there for years.

Great room. TV, AC, Bar fridge, bottled water, toiletries, very clean ensuite with hot water, small terrace. It has all the convenience of a 3 star hotel room but at a fraction of the price.

Location is about a km away from the night market and Jetyod Rd so be prepared for some walking. The Key deposit of THB 250 is also a bit annoying.

Close to most things, they also can get scooters for you, staff were helpful and also helped with booking tours -

Clean, modern, good location

No payment via card, no elevator/lift.

It was very clean and spacious. They will clean the room everyday for you if you would like. They give you 2 glass water bottles a day that you have to keep in the room (don’t break them or lose them or you will be fined). There is someone at the desk 24/7.

We weren’t aware that they have a 250 baht deposit for the key. This is fine but something to think about since chiang rai is many people’s last stop in Thailand before moving on to Laos.

Slight dark mark on a towel which would have washed pit - charged us 250B ! WiFi terrible - basically doesn't work ! Not even a 1 minute video would load the whole time we stayed. 20 minute walk to centre Bed rock hard Sheets uncomfortable

Only 10 minute walk to town centre, clean and spacious room with balcony. In a quiet area. Two free bottles of water each morning and the Staff friendly.

Bed was a little Bit on the hard side but that seems to be the norm in Thailand.
