Peaceful Apartment

I like how peaceful and quite the location is

Nothing I did not like

This is a nice apartment in a gated community - safe. Arranged and furnished with care, nothing misses from the utensils, kitchenware or toiletries (oh, maybe just a pair of scissors :) ), the bed is good, 4 pillows - 2 of them are memory-foam-type, comforting. Of the furnishings, I especially loved the set of bauhaus-like chairs, and the glass set of tables - very artsy (although I figure they are quite demanding in terms of surface cleaning). Also, I just loved the floor lamp by the sofa - switches on/off (3 levels of brightness) just by hand-touch on its side, very convenient. I didn't use the stovetop to cook, just the microwave which is very simple 1-click operated. Hot water is really hot, wifi works perfectly. A/C is also fine, just noisy at times, but that's common for Houston overall. The street is purely residential - there are several gated communities along it, traffic is mainly local and not very intensive. I chose this apartment primarily because its location - in a prominent Westchase district and just between 2 very long busy streets: Westheimer Rd and Richmond Ave. Both have buses commuting along them (Westheimer's bus #82 goes every 8 minutes, Richmond's #25 every 30 min) that could take you just anywhere of commerce/importance you'd wish, so you could do without a car altogether just in case. In nearest proximity to the apartment is the wonderful supermarket Phoenicia with tasty goods from all over the world, excellent pastries and adjacent cafe serving delicious food. Also, along Westheimer in proximity are big grocery stores like HEB, Whole Foods, WalMart, Target. Plus Burlington, Ross and even Nordstrom rack, etc. Opposite Target, there is also my favorite Mediterranean buffet restaurant "Dimassi". Closer to Beltway 8/Sam Houston tollway is an excellent restaurant "Cava", mediterranean delicious food. In short, I loved the place and would stay here again - many thanks!

The balcony door goes heavy and difficult to close - once fixed, everything would be just perfect. Oh, and the windows are single-glazed, so noise from the street (although as said quiet overall) still penetrates. That didn't bother me at all since I always carry my earplugs for sleep.

It was the perfect location for my needs

Door dash and uber and amazon have a ton of trouble finding it.
