The apartment was in a good location, short walk to the main centre of Tivat and the bus station. The bed was also quite comfortable.

The person who was managing the property was extremely hard to get a hold of, it took days before we would get a response via WhatsApp when asking questions and basic things for the apartment. Although there were images of a pool, this particular apartment was down another road (2 minute walk away). The pool is still accessible, but not in the same residence / street. There were standard kitchen utensils missing i.e. coffee mugs, a strainer, etc. and the exisiting pots and pans were definitely dated and could do with an upgrade.

I found the host very welcoming and responsive to any problem. The apartment was light and airy, the location was quiet and very convenient and the pool was a real bonus particularly as it was very humid and there was no proper beach nearby.

I would have liked cotton bedding, a bit more attention to health and safety and I would have liked to have the apartment cleaned and the sheets changed during the nine nights I was there.

Poor communication. Booking.com had to email the host directly as multiple attempts at communicating with them regarding check in instructions were not successful. They eventually got back to me a couple days before we came away to say that they had their notifications on Booking.Com turned off and were seemingly very apologetic. Still very dissatisfied that the owner of a rented apartment had Booking.Com notifications off? We proceeded with the booking and when messaging them on the day of check in about arriving, as we STILL hadn’t received any communication about check in, the owner asked that when we get a taxi to send them somewhere different than the address advertised on Booking.com. Huge red flag. I asked why and they stated that the address was incorrect. The advertised apartment was in a block of apartments with a shared pool located at the rear which looked glorious. When we arrived I told them via WhatsApp that we were here, 10 minutes later of standing in the 40 degree blazing sunshine the lady arrived. She disappeared to check if our room was ready whilst proceeding to sit us inside a hairdressers (🤔) with no aircon for 10 minutes sweltering. At this point it was laughable. Now, we got into the room and all seemed well. When asking how we access the pool, thinking it would be a simple round the back job. No. She said if you go up that road there and then left and down a bit you’ll see it. I said what? They own another set of apartments on a completely different street, up a rather steep hill may I add, and the expectation is that we will walk from here to there every time we want to access the pool. The room is accessed by a front door which has zero curtain to close out the BLARING lights that are on CONSTANTLY on the front drive. The room therefore is practically daylight and myself and my partner found it near impossible to sleep and were awoken every morning at 05:00 by the light and noise.
