We loved Calcada guest house. Very gracious and helpful hosts and staff. Breakfasts were generous and delicious. Our room was stunning and the location very central, only a few minutes walk and we were in the heart of Tavira.

The rooftop terrace for breakfast was lovely. Location handy for walking to the town and river.

Our bedroom was a little gloomy, on the basement without a view, but had satisfactory facilities.

"Another great stay at the Calcada."

This is our second visit to the Calcada. Excellent hosting by Sangita. Spotlessly clean and tidy with great facilities such as tea and coffee and fridge to keep beer and wine. The main square and Roman Bridge are just 2-3 minutes walk.

location. style and internal layout of the building very tastefully decorated. very quiet at night lovely comfortable bed.. the staff were outstanding, very pleasant, charming and ensured everything was to our satisfaction.

"Highly recommended peaceful oasis in heart of Tavira old town."

Great location in heart of old town, a few steps from river. Restored old building - lovely room (#1) and plenty of shared places to sit and read/ write/chat. Tea/ coffee/ water dock available for guests in lounge; fridge available on roof terrace. Peaceful oasis - very nicely decorated. Charming, efficient staff - the British owners didn’t appear, but the place is expertly run by two delightful Nepalese women. Great breakfast - plus they made special Gluten free pancakes for me.
