Very clean and modern look. Just what we needed for our trip to Bucharest

Not a major issue as there are plenty of Uber scooters but it is probably a 40-50 minute walk into old town. Probably more like 10-15 on a scooter. There are pubs and shops within a 10 minute walk if you don’t want to trek into old town.

We spent 4 nights here in June 2024. After arriving at Henry Coanda International Airport, we took the train into Gara de Nord (last stop). The local train was jam-packed and travellers with luggage had to vie with locals for seats or standing space. From Gara de Nord, we easily transferred to the metro and followed the M1 yellow line to Eroilor Station (5 stops away). Then, it is a leisurely 10-minute walk via Splaiul Independentei to the apartment. This is the best part of the apartment – its location: safe, quiet and brightly lit neighbourhood and yet easy access to the metro. The modern and very spacious apartment is on the third floor and clear lock-box instructions were sent out earlier. There is a nice kitchenette (with electric kettle to make hot beverages). Air-conditioning was greatly appreciated and a relief from the summer heat. Wi-fi connection and television works well too. Two pairs of indoor slippers were provided as well!

Some simple supplies were lacking or missing from the kitchenette – tea towels or drying rack after washing cups and plates. Washing machine was a great amenity but no laundry liquid/powder or drying rack for clothes were available. We purchased a box of laundry powder from nearby Carrefour and left it behind for the benefit of subsequent guests. As the apartment was up a steep spiral-like staircase on the third floor, bringing up heavy luggage can be a task. A full-length mirror in the living area would be a plus point in addition to the one in the bathroom.

The accommodation was very clean and in a good area, close to the bus station. It has parking and AC and this was important for us. The host was very responsive and kind. Highly recommend.

A small inconvenience was to climb the stairs when you’ve a lot of luggage, after that everything is ok. :)
