We recently stayed at this accommodation in Calheta, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. - The place was clean and offered beautiful views. It was well-located, although slightly pricey, considering that it was further away from Funchal. - The apartment was well-equipped with almost everything necessary for a long stay, even a lettuce/salad dryer, which was a nice touch. - The kitchen was well-stocked and in excellent condition, featuring modern appliances such as a kettle, coffee maker, tea infuser, toaster, stand mixer, manual juicer, and microwave oven, making meal preparation easy and enjoyable. - The shower space was generous and comfortable. - Communication with the apartment managers via WhatsApp was smooth and efficient. - The apartment featured a washing machine and dryer, located in a separate entrance area, which was convenient. - The parking space was quite narrow, which could be a challenge for larger vehicles. - One of the highlights of the stay was the huge terrace, equipped with sunbeds, offering a great space to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

A few things that could be improved: - A welcome bottle of water would have been appreciated, considering our late-night arrival, when stores were closed. - While the apartment had laundry facilities, an additional set of bed linens (of better quality!) and towels would have been useful. As we were out during the day and returned late, we didn’t have much time to wait for washed items to dry. We asked the managers about additional bedding, and while they initially said they would arrange something, nothing came of it. - One of the towels had old yellow stains that remained even after washing—it might be good to check and replace worn-out towels. - The apartment had a file with house rules and general information, but it would be helpful to include instructions on how to use appliances, such as the stove, extractor fan, washing machine, and dryer, to make their use easier and avoid damage. Overall, the apartment had great features, but a few small improvements could make the experience even better.

Very nice location, beautiful view, nicely built house, lovely owner. Would gladly stay again, anytime.

All lights are blue-white, which is uncomfortable during evenings. The provided heater might feel inadequate at winter time. Beware of ants, don't leave anything out!
