While the TV was great and the bed was comfortable, the sheets were disappointing.

Where to start? Our stay at Ultracentral in Bucharest was a complete disappointment. First, we were greeted by a few dozen dead cockroaches right in front of the apartment. Inside, mosquitoes were lurking in every corner. The so-called "garden view" is actually a view of a garage space, and the window, which is in line with the ground outside, doesn't close properly. This allowed even more small bugs and mosquitoes to enter the apartment. To make matters worse, there was a persistent smell of some kind of chemical, presumably meant for large bugs. The kitchen was severely lacking, with not even enough cutlery for two people. An outlet installed directly above the fire stove made cooking hazardous, as we had to turn off the fridge to avoid the risk of fire. It got extremely warm inside, and our request for a fan was dismissed with a comment that "people usually stay one to two nights," even though we had booked for a week. If they couldn't accommodate a longer stay, why didn't they refuse our reservation? The bathroom was another nightmare. The toilet flooded every time we showered, and dirty water was left in the apartment from cleaning. The ashtray was also nasty, adding to the overall sense of neglect and poor hygiene. To top it all off, on our last day, we found dead bugs under the bed and in the kitchen, adding to the overall sense of neglect and poor hygiene. Overall, our experience at Ultracentral was far below acceptable standards. We strongly advise against staying here.
