IESpotless apartment. Perfect location, nice and spacious for our family of 5. Lovely pool area, which we had to ourselves. All the kitchen utensils, towels, etc you need. Some lovely restaurants close by and only 15mins walk to the old town, which is full of life. 10min walk to the beach.
PLIEIEThe apartment is in a residential area but within easy walking distance to a row of shops, cafes and restaurants. The bus stop for the local bus and tourist train are nearby. It is a long walk to the Strip and Oura beach but you can get a Tuk Tuk which will take you for €10. Our flight was delayed but we were met by João who let us into the apartment and showed us around. João and Marisa had organised an airport shuttle for us which was very helpful. The apartment is very spacious, very clean and beds are comfortable. There is a good balcony with lounge set and is in a very quiet area but you can see the sea. There is also access to a communal pool area which is well kept. We found a local small supermarket which had a good bakery counter.
It would have been good if there was at least a bottle of water in the fridge at the apartment when we arrived. We had to set off at 11pm to look for the supermarket. The pool area is a great bonus but the water was very cold and I didn't see it being cleaned for leaves/debris in the 3 days that we were there.
