Mosquitoes

Tanabendang is an oasis with with characteristic houses surrounded with luster vegetation. We enjoyed the swimming pool. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

The beauty of the place and the team, themselves. Nothing was too much and such lovely people. The views are incredible and the pool was great.

Little bit out the way so getting around took more effort. Still, you wouldn't have had the same peace and quiet nearer the action so it is personal preference!

Privacy, peaceful, nice pool, loved the friendly cats. Nice and kind owner. Nice view. 30 mins walk to Pantai Cenang.

The host is lovely and really attentive. The bungalows have a nice little veranda to sit and enjoy. It’s close to Cenang beach. It’s extremely quiet.

The property is a bit tired and has loads of mosquitoes(proximity to the paddy fields). The bungalows have spaces between panels so there is no way to prevent the mosquitoes from entering which meant that no matter how much we used the machine or spray, it didn’t help. Eventually I had to spray myself even in the face to get atleast a couple of hours at a stretch. The property is close to a mosque which means the prayer call will wake you up at 5:30 am and then again many times in the day. If you like to sleep in, it’s important to know this. The property has no sound proofing at all so even if someone walks by, you can hear it clearly. Again, this might not bother many people but if you’re a light sleeper like me, it is good to know.

We had a fantastic two-night stay at Tanabendang Banglos with our family. The traditional architecture and peaceful surroundings made for a perfect retreat. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. A special mention goes to the adorable cats on the property—they were a delightful surprise and added so much charm to our stay. Our kids loved them! One suggestion: it would be helpful if the location were added to Google Maps and Waze for easier navigation. It would make finding this hidden gem even more convenient for future guests. Overall, Tanabendang Banglos is a gem in Langkawi, perfect for families seeking a cozy, relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to return!
