"Nice quiet cabin on a lake"

Location is on a lake and it is quiet. Open fire was nice and shower was hot. Very comfortable bed with electric heated mattress cover. The decking area over the lake is nice too.

The drive to the cabin is on a 2 klm mud track. There wasn't any wood for the log fire on arrival even though i had requested it. I had to travel back to the main road to buy some from the farm. The host is non responsive to my messages. The cabin does not have heating and it gets freezing in the winter. The log fire cant be kept running 24 hrs so an electric fire is needed.

"Peaceful accommodation on a dam"

Great view of the dam and a stunning sunset, plenty of bird life and even a pair of Fish Eagles. Kitchen was adequately equipped and the portable braai worked very well. Paddle boats were available for the dam.

"Its a lovely spot and very picturesque"

The location was beautiful, but in the summer the lake is very small

The host wasn't great at communicating with us, the power and electricity cut out when we were staying there and they didn't keep us informed with developments
