Difficult to leave and enter the house when two dogs try to run away through the entrance gate.

Everything was perfect: the warm welcome by the host, the room (clean and nicely decorated - easy to feel at home), good private bathroom/shower, access to the kitchen (incl. complimentary tea/coffee). Located in a quiet residential area.

The host is super nice and kind, and I like the local atmosphere in the area. It is close to the beach and the waterfall. The beach is beautiful and quiet!

I'm not really sure how this property is here. It's a room in someone's house. I arrived, and the people were not there, so I had a sneaky look through the window. I did not even make it inside. I had to leave and I booked a different place for the night. I am sure the people are nice, I never met them after, but it's not a place I would stay in. Did not seem like the photos. Also extremely difficult to find. I am sorry for the review. I am just being honest about my experience.

Location was excellent for an authentic insight into Mauritius culture. It’s walking distance from Rochester Falls which are amazing and it’s well positioned to explore other notable areas like Black River Gorges National Park and the south coastline (recommend a car). Aleksandra & Akash were lovely, made you feel welcome and comfortable, there for conversation but equally happy to leave you alone. Full of recommendations and the use of their spotless kitchen was an amazing asset, they kindly share their spices and there was a place to hang our swimsuits and towels. Loved that the room had a bidet gun too. Their two dogs were very friendly and I enjoyed waking up to the sound of their budgies. The outdoor area to relax or have dinner is a nice spot too.

Wifi connection wasn’t great but tbh this didn’t bother us so much because we were only there a couple of nights and were still able to make a WhatsApp call to family back home

Aleksandra and Akash were lovely people and I was pleased to stay with them for three days. The room was nice and big with a lovely personal touch on the interior design, and the common kitchen and garden was nice!
