Bernique Guesthouse

Sylvania and Isabel were very helpful before and during our stay. They breakfast was excellent! The rooms were spacious and clean.

It is a 15 minute walk from La Passe (beach + restaurants) along unpaved and unlit roads.

The staff is lovely, hardworking and pleasant to be around, trying their best to make you feel comfortable. They have regular room cleaning and fresh breakfast every morning! The ladies bake delicious banana bread and other cakes, great omelette and eggs! You can reach the guesthouse by foot from cat coco ferry.

The room is underwhelming, especially for the price. It’s not the best deal for your buck. We were 3 adult guests and we got an extra children’s bed for the full price (180€\per night). The smallest of us got the bed and with my average hight of 175cm I needed some imagination to fit on it. The old fridge is loud and you have to turn it off during the night to sleep. It’s just not a pleasant place to stay at the room. This would be tops 50€/night/3guests worthy room. Thus the discrepancy between 180 vs 50 per night speaks of the reason for our dissatisfaction.

Really nice and clean rooms, staff is super kind, breakfast is amazing!

Located near the jetty( just a 15 minutes walk or even less by bicycle) the establishment is surrounded by the island’s nature with is incredible soothing as all you hear are sounds from the jungle surrounding the place.The guesthouse is dreamy! the courtyard and the breakfast area are as if you were in a novel . the rooms simple but well taken care of and cute, with basic facilities for coffee and tea, a refrigerator to keep your things cool , A/C and ceiling fan so you can never get hot. outside of the room you have a small porch to relax and enjoy thecserenity of this place.

The only thing that we found a bit off were the bicycles that were for rent on the premises. Most of them were worn down and rusty due to the humidity of the are.
