Apartamentos Montes

Spacious and comfortable apartment . Excellent breakfast . Helpful and pleasant staff. Well situated for central Cusco with an Orion supermarket nearby. The apartment was well equipped with a small kitchen (we didn’t eat in so didn’t really use the kitchen facilities apart from the kettle)

As with all Peruvian apartments , can be a little noisy at night (dogs , car alarms, motorbikes) but you soon get used to this. Gas safety is not so high a priority in Peru as generally there is no gas central heating and water is heated electrically. Some apartments including this one do use propane fired boilers for hot water. The boilers were directly outside the apartment with the flue venting to the internal corridor . Of course this was only on when someone was taking a shower or using hot water. When pointed out , the owner sealed the closest bathroom window and said he would relocate the hot water boilers in future. We just kept the apartment well ventilated and had no problems. This wasn’t the only apartment we stayed in Peru with this arrangement !

Looked exactly like the photos. Lovely apartment lots of space. Didn’t use the kitchen area so can’t comment but looked useful with kettle and coca leaves. Boris was friendly. We were doing tours each day so didn’t sit down for breakfast but they did a takeaway for us which was kind and useful. Location good approx 10-15 min from historic centre meaning quieter

We stayed in the apartment, which was ideal for are needs. The breakfast was very good.

The apartment isn’t cleaned.

4 person room was big and we had 2 bathrooms. beds confortable and hot water available any time. hotel employees were very friendly

Streets were loud at night because of the dogs barking. Water was not available for an evening and night but was foxed the next morning.
