ConSentido Tamarindo

It is a spacious house with 3-4 rooms with independent access. I had a room with a kitchnenette cleverly hidden behind a wardrobe door. Overall the house is tastefully furnished and well laid out, with lots of beautiful details. I appreciated the common coffee section and the water dispenser and it was also nice to talk to the other guests as we overlapped some days. The house is located in a quiet residential area, walks to other parts of town take about 15 minutes or a short Uber ride. There is also a nice park nearby with food carts and some great cafés nearby. It was easy to get hold of staff and the owner, who were all very responsive. I ended up staying over a longer period of time and it was perfect!

Two things, but they are part of living in Merida: low water pressure and insects as the windows don´t have nets, so more for expectation management rather than any shortcomings.

We could enter already in the morning. That was perfect because of the hurricane Barley. There is a small kitchen. It „saved our lives“ because of the hurricane everything was closed that day. Nice room, nice bathroom. Super clean!

There is no reception. Nobody was available on the phone. So we‘ve had to communicate via booking-massaging, but received replies quite quickly. 2 hours before leaving we’ve had a powercut. So also ok. But in another case it would be helpful to have someone available on the phone.

My guest host was always available and checked in with me via text frequently to ask if I needed anything. I loved the tranquility of the area as it was perfect for to wake up and sit outside to have my morning cup of coffee listening to the birds chirp. The location was perfect for me and Uber or DiDi rides were very affordable. DiDi offers better rates than Uber by far. So download there app before you travel. 😉

Serene and quiet. My a computation. Was perfect with a cute little Kitchenette with small fridge and cooktop. Fresh press for coffee and a percolator coffee machine as well. However, there was a coffee / tea bar in the main hall with Nespresso which was always my preference. As well, fresh fruit in case you don’t have time to grab breakfast before your day excursions. ☺️

It is a bit far from Centro

The property is stunning and the design and furniture in the room is amazing. The room was huge, more like a studio and has a kichen in it. The bed was huge and really comfy. I had to speak to the manager a couple of times and he was always available and super helpful via whatsapp, plus he speaks good English which is rare in Merida! The property also has a back garden with a smal tennis court and a basketball! It was a short drive to the centre and the area was really quiet and posh.

The room was clean but not at a professional level, there was dust and dirt under the bed. At some point we found a massive spider in the room which by the way can get in any time from under the door and because the garden is full of trees and bushes, it can easily happen. The garden itself is really pretty but dirty and full of leaves on the floor and the furniture so you can't really enjoy it as much as you could. Also, there is no TV which was fine for us but it might not be for everyone.
