Apartments Mencinger

We are delighted that we chose these apartments! The owner is a very warm and pleasant person. The apartments are super clean and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped. The balcony with mountain views is incredible. After hiking days, we would drink tea there in the evenings and watch the sunsets. The location of the apartments is also excellent: for those without a car, or wanting to take a break from driving - there's a bus stop just 50 meters away. You can walk to the town center with grocery store, restaurants, bakeries, and a bank. Bohinjska Bistrica is a small, quiet, and very charming town. There's no tourist hustle and bustle here at all. From this town, it's convenient to visit Vogel, Bohinj, Bled, and other attractions. We traveled extensively through the mountains, and this was an ideal place to stay. If we were to visit here again, we would undoubtedly stay at Apartments Mencinger!

Vesna was the most friendly and helpful host we have met on this trip. She made us so welcome and even upgraded us to the appartment, where we could use the kitchen and enjoy views from the balcony. The bedroom was very spacious and kitchen was well equipped.

Nothing really. The bed was a bit too soft for our liking, but we slept well as it was very quiet.

Friendly, welcoming and very helpful/informative host. Big living area complete with spacious bedroom and kitchen as well as tv-room and fully adequate bathroom with shower. Great location - 10 minute walk to Bohinjska Bistrica town centre with excellent restaurants, bakery and cafe, grocery stores and a pharmacy. Also a 10 minute walk to the train station.

That we reserved only one night.

Pros: * Hostess greeted us personally and showed everything, even though we arrived late * Hostess cared about our well-being and also gave us tips about how to travel the area with a small child * Free parking on the site * Huge space * Large balcony with a very nice view * Every facility available, including a washing machine with powder * Crib was provided * Thermostat-regulated heating system * Big TV

Small issues: * The location is a bit far from everything, probably not ideal if you aren't coming by car * The bed wasn't very comfortable. Also they only provide 2 single blankets for the main bed, which aren't big enough for an adult man. * The entrance door is right on the staircase, so you can't put down the luggage to open the door. Best to open the door first and only then go down to get the luggage. Also watch your step when leaving the bedroom, there is a high step there (!)

Very warm and cozy, facilities are well stocked and clean. The host is overwhelmingly pleasant.
