Waterfront Houseboat

This was a perfect spot. Central and quiet.

It was all good. Perhaps a tiny bit overpriced per night, but the welcoming cheese, biscuits & sparkling wine made up for that on our 2 day stay.

Clean , chic and located in the BEST location !

CT summers are hot so be warned , the houseboat retains a lot of heat. Not to deter just to be aware.

The whole experience itself from the day I booked, meeting Vuyisile using arrival and her polite attitude and how she warmly welcomed us. How she explained all the details and overall service. The other thing was the late afternoon cruise that was organized, my wife and I loved that , having the whole boat to ourselves. The skipper, Momelisi was suoer amazing. He is so knowledgeable, lovely and very friendly. He made our sea experience so calm and enjoyable.

While we enjoyed every moment, there is only one or two things we didn't like. 1. 10am check out time is too early 2. Coffee, milk & and sugar, though complimentary, were very limited. 3 The braiding on the boat roof top had faded and must be redone. When you look at the advert the branding " waterfront houseboats" stands out nicely but on the boat itself the wording had faded.

The experience of being on a boat was very exciting. The boat is well decorated and equipped with all amenities required. the location is fantastic. We woke up to the sound of seagulls and often had the pleasure of seeing seals up close.

The check in process was disappointing. We arrived at 2:30 after letting the host know we would be arriving earlier than planned and there was no one to assist us, even though check in opens at 2pm. After trying to contact the host for about an hour we were eventually allowed to check in. The boat itself it great, but this really put a dampener on the experience.

The houseboat is a well serviced, wonderful tiny home in a safe and peaceful spot, a short walk from the vibe and bustle of the Waterfront. Definitely book yourself some time here. The experience is worth it. Make your stay a shorter one if... Your group is more than 2 You're claustrophobic You're very prone to motion sickness You have lots of luggage Creaking and sloshing freak you out You can't bear sleeping on anything smaller than a Queen size or thinner than a Posturepedic. Know before you book. Getting on and off the boat requires some agility and sure-footedness, if you have ballance or range of motion issues make sure you have assistance. No fishing, no swimming, no sunbathing on the roof and absolutely keep your distance from the Seals. The Marina is sheltered from everything except the Southeaster. The V&A is your kitchen.

Hated having to leave, would live there if I could have.
