Excellent location with lots of shops, markets, massage shops, bars and restaurants down the street. If you are mobile you can walk to either Kata or Karon beach in around 20mins with plenty to see on the way. A taxi to the crazy Bangla road is about 25mins. The room was really big, plenty of space for suitcases etc. Having a balcony was a nice extra for the price. It was clean enough but not spotless. The facilities are not amazing but for the price you are paying, there was nothing to complain about. The two owners are doing a fantastic job running not just the hotel but also a shop, travel agent, and laundry downstairs!

There is no 24/7 reception which is fine, but the front door is left open to anyone all night which feels slightly unsafe. The mattress is very firm, verging on hard. I was looking forward to having a beer on the balcony and watching the world below, but as I was at the back of the hotel the view was of another building but I guess that's just luck of the draw! They do not clean the room every day which is fine, however because in Thailand you have to put toilet paper in the bin - I think the bathroom bin should be emptied each day.

Very central, surrounded by lively markets and restaurants with live bands. Great if you are keen to stay up late and enjoy the nightlife.

Room was next to a busy street with very poor noise insulation on a single pane glass sliding door that did not close tightly. Not so great if you are trying to sleep before 1am.

Big room, great location about a 10 minute walk to Kata beach. The aircon worked very well, as did the wifi from inside my room. The fridge in the room was great too, kept my drinks cold, nice hot shower with good pressure. The price is good too.

Yes the beds are hard but still comfortable. The live singing from the market next door was very loud but finished every night at 22:30 so wasn't too bad, there wasn't really much to complain about it's a great place to stay.
