Mandaluyong Staycation

Nice view. The place is close to a service shop where my husband brought our vehicle for repair, so that was convenient for him. I booked this for my husband and the contact person was not upfront with the fees but was receptive to my comments so I will give her that. She was also on time in meeting my husband at the lobby, which is highly appreciated.

Cleanliness: My Husband travelled from Butuan to Manila with our vehicle and had to do roadside repairs along the way, so he was dirty. But the bathroom from this unit is even dirtier than him. The floor drain in the shower was filled with hair and even a shampoo wrapper was left in the shower and long black hair on the floor outside of the shower. My husband has short grey hair and is the only one staying at this place. His comment was that he had stayed at budget hotels along the way that he expected these types of issues. To his surprise, those budget hotels were far better maintained and this place is not a budget place. This is a penthouse unit. Communication: I booked the unit for my husband and his service dog. The booking said pet stays free. There was no instruction provided as to how to get in other than meeting her at the lobby. When I contacted her that my husband is at the lobby, to my surprise, she said that P100 per hour will be charged for early check in and P300 will be charged for pet deep cleaning. My husband's service dog is very well mannered and is potty trained. The booking new he had his service dog with him. I paid for a room for two adults and one child, even though only him and his service dog were staying in the unit. I didn't have a problem with the early check in charge, even if it was mentioned a bit late. I do have an issue with the P300 pet fee. They need to update their pet policy in booking.com with regards to this.
