Waterbessiebos cottage

A beautiful, private setting among the trees, right next to a river stream. The wooden cottage is beautifully crafted and cosy, with many forest-view windows that make you feel part of nature. You can open the large folding door, which leads out onto a deck. It also features an outdoor shower.

The unit we stayed in is quite a walk from where the car is parked. Though being within the forest allows more privacy.

Beautiful accommodation in the tree tops, surrounded by plush gardens. An absoulte gem. We will most certainly return for a longer stay.

The serene ambiance created by the birds and streams near the cottage was truly remarkable. The privacy, the outdoor shower, and the exceptional hospitality provided by Myra greatly contributed to a memorable experience.

Loadshedding and phones having to be off, but i guess one can only blame it on Eskom. However,stove, lights and shower have backup

Beautiful location for nature lovers, peaceful, tranquil Hosts were the best, lovely people who really helped us and made us feel so much at home (Mum is an amputee)

Power failure due to weather, through no fault of our hosts, fans didn't work and it was hot, only on the last night.

Myra is a generous and caring host and her cottages feel like the perfect getaway - serene, safe and nestled in a forest.

The cottage was well equipped, cozy, and nestled in the forest. The sounds of birds were very refreshing. The host, Myra, is a very extraordinary person. She ensured that we got to the place safely, sent a text message every morning to ensure that we were okay, and that everything was working well in the cottage. The doggies were also welcoming. My son ended up making friends with Porschia (a very energetic pup). Thank you, Myra, for making our stay a pleasant one, we enjoyed the rusks and our Christmas treat🌹🌹🌹.

Total privacy in the forest. Outdoor shower was fantastic in the extreme heat. Listening to awesome night sounds while sitting on the deck. Very friendly host.

Everything about the place is beautiful, you got what you see. Talking about the host Myra she’s such a darling she is a great communicator, host, I love the fact that she’s caring, loving and very much humble. Enjoy my weekend definitely a place to visit when you need a break from the city
