The beautiful and spacious bedroom just like in a princess movie.

The ringbell late at night because the door is not open. The absence of hot water.

I felt like I was treated by the staff as a source of money to exploit, not as a guest. From other reviews I was prepared for an extra cost on site (city tax) compared to booking, but after receiving a direct message from Mekhtarin with an increased price, I was surprised when they asked me for double this on arrival. They are aware of this and unapologetic about hiding the fee from booking and from guests before arrival. I found the explanation that 'it's still a cheap price' neither friendly nor honest. The staff wanted to charge me money to leave my bag during the day before my afternoon train. I went to a restaurant instead, left it there, and came back to eat. They also didn't know (or didn't want to help with) simple information like how to take a bus to the train station. It is bus 378, leaving from the bazaar. Other stops can be seen on map applications like maps.me or mapy.cz.

Very central location close to the old town. Nice family

The woman running the hostel was kind but she spoke very little english. That created some confusions.

My stay at Mekhtarin was amazing, very comfortable stay with lots of space. A good quiet place to rest, really feels like home
