The host was fantastic. Amazing in fact. And the cosy little apartment is very quirky and interesting. In a lot of ways , it was a bit of an honour staying in it. I have never stayed in a conversion like that before. Especially when one considers the artistic idea of hanging the old garage door on the ceiling. You will know what I mean when you stay there. The place is quiet, and very safe. The location was ideal for us, but might not be ideal for others. The kitchenette was pretty basic, but served our needs. And although the bathroom had to be the smallest that I have ever seen outside of a boat, the quirkiness of the stay does offset the size of the bathroom. All in all, an amazing stay. A property that I will always remember for all the right reasons. Especially the free spirit of the host.

Just some small issues. And no doubt the host will take this on board. First, the towels are very small. Second, I was sleeping on the sofa, and being an experienced traveler, I always have extra bedding in the car. However, some people may not have that. Third, we stayed while the weather was unseasonably cold; and the heating was just not good enough. So a quick trip up to Action for a cheap heater was needed. Finally, we run out of toilet paper and whilst the fresh flowers put in the apartment on the second day were very nice; we couldn't clean our bums with them. That all said, if we were not so busy to ask for it, I am sure that Hilde would have replenished the required paper.

De badkamer . WC zeer onhandig. Wasbakje zeeeer klein. In de keukentje moest je je wassen. Zeeeer gehorig

Het fonteintje in het toilet maakt de ruimte erg klein. Het is ook niet nodig, handen kunnen gewassen worden in de pantry

Locatie: vlakbij de IJssel, centrum op loopafstand Goede bedden en prachtige bank. Fijn dat er een tafel met stoelen stond Heel gezellig ingericht. Leuk dat zo'n oude gemeentegarage deze bestemming heeft gekregen! Gratis parkeren voor de deur Heerlijke koffie Goede verlichting We hadden geen last van de buren (maar misschien waren die er ook niet)

Lastig om de gordijnen open en dicht te doen: voor het rolgordijn moet je op een stoel klimmen, de andere gordijnen schuiven nauwelijks Heel klein en hoog nachtkastje vonden we lastig Het doucheputje loopt nog steeds niet door: bijna een overstroming!!
