The owners went above and beyond to help when we were stuck. They are so accommodating and caring and the place was perfect for our family of 4.

Moc příjemní hostitelé, krásný dobře vybavený apartmán, 2 koupelny/záchody byly moc praktické pro 2 páry, lokalita hned u moře a centra, majitelé nám doporučili řidiče/pruvodce, který dělá půl denní či denní výlety po ostrově a to bylo skvělé! Měli jsme výlet na různé vodopády, sopečnou oblast kde doporučujeme koupit si kukuřičný klas vařený ve vřídle, vyhlídky na pobřeží a jezera, čajovou plantáž/továrnu a likérku.

K úplné spokojenosti chyběla myčka nádobí a trochu více kávových kapslí a polštáře byly na náš vkus trochu vysoké/tuhe. Ale to byly drobnosti, jinak to byl super apartmán!

Great location! Modern home with plenty of space and parking. Walking distance to water, restaurants & shops. Friendly , helpful host allowed early check in.

Hands down, a 10/10 experience! The hosts were very flexible with our check-in time, being that the only flight we could take was very early in the morning. They greeted us on arrival, showed the house and... WOW! The house is spacious, clean, everything beautifully arranged. The location is just about perfect: an ocean view from the balcony, a short walk to the downtown square, a very nice restaurant right around the corner, ocean boardwalk right outside, and so on. Huge plus: private, gated parking. If you travel anywhere in Europe, you know what a nightmare parking can be. I didn't have to worry about my rental car one bit. Joe checked in with us on a regular basis, gave recommendations and even helped with a reservation at a very good restaurant! This was a special trip for us, and Joe and Helena made it so much more enjoyable. Just can't thank you enough!

If you are an American traveling through that part of Europe, be aware that local businesses open and close whenever they please, oftentimes with no reliable schedule. Finding a nutritious breakfast is tricky as everyone serves toasts and pastry for breakfast (carbs on top of carbs). If you want to "fuel up" for a full day of hiking, sightseeing, etc, go to Chocolotinho for a good breakfast --- they were very consistent and served excellent food. Their chocolate game is strong! :))

The location of our place was perfect. Views of the ocean and close to many amenities. Central location gave us easy access to travel around the island with ease. Helena was a gracious, friendly, accessible host. The rental had everything you will need. Lots of dishes, towels, and cleaning products and private gated parking.

No dryer and weather (mid May) made it difficult to dry our clothes.

We had a very nice stay at Miramar. The hosts were very welcoming and flexible with our arrival time, and gave us a lot of good tips and addresses around São Miguel island. The apartment is spacious and well equipped. The location itself is right next to the sea and close to a few restaurants. It’s easy to get around the island from there. Parking is convenient.

Maybe an extra pillow or two for the beds would have been appreciated for more comfort.
