A very tired and dated building. We had book an evening meal, but they didn't have a chef. The beer was stale. Breakfast doesn't start until 8.30 which was too late for us. No brown bread. Tea water was too cold. Cups too small.

Very dated. Shower a trickle. Big damp black patch in ceiling directly outside room. Staff were great and good breakfast

The room was lovely but in the morning I couldn't find a hairdryer - there was no one at reception and no phone in the room to contact reception.

I waiting to be served breakfast for an hour and fifteen minutes. The Continental was out of date bread and two yoghurts. I never actually got breakfast as the staff where more concerned about chatting to friends on the phone. Truly the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had from bad breakfast to broken shower heads.

The property needs condemning, closing for a year, and millions spent on the building and grounds to make it resemble a hotel. Currently, the rooms are dilapidated, the decor is tired and mismatched with creaking furniture, the carpets filthy, water stains on ceilings, showers with doors falling off, and mattresses worn. There was no management on site, other than a scruffy look teenager, promising to rebuild our trust. He (John) promised a call back later that day, but two days on, we've heard nothing. I suggest they haven't spent a penny on the place in the last five years, other than to adhere to council specifications.

It was a nice Hotel, in pleasant surroundings. the staff were friendly and obliging. The meals were well prepared and of ample portions

Ok (ish) for a one night stay. The decor is looking tired and I feel sorry for whoever was in the room on the floor beneath me. Very creaky floorboards. The reception wasn’t open at 8am when I wanted to check out and had to wait until 0830 for someone to turn up.

Very dated, bed v uncomfortable, told by the chap that checked us in (who smelt of weed) that the house was haunted.

We were happy overall, but a few small niggles. Our shower has dodgy and breakfast was slightly overdone, but that was the only small issues.
