Carmel at Sorrento

The location as it was right on the shopping strip. Also it was well stocked with coffee pods etc, plus lots of crockery which meant we could have other people join us for dinner. The bbq and the large outdoor table setting was a great plus also. It was much larger than we expected and having two bathrooms even though only one bedroom was available was handy also.

We didn’t get much information about how to check in and about parking until after we had checked out and that was through booking.com. A woman did meet us and show us the room but we were still confused about how to access the parking. It wasn’t clear that the key code to access the parking was the same as your room. A large apartment is hard to keep clean. We spilt water on the balcony, with no mops available, the dirt turned into a fine layer of mud. Not pleasant. If there had been a mop and bucket available I would have happily mopped the balcony down.

The location and apartment itself were great.

The only negative was a bad, sewage type smell upon entering the undercover parking. It was extremely unpleasant. Unfortunately our balcony was above this area.

The occasional chairs in lounge area were uncomfortable, maybe a larger modular sofa arrangement would have been better.
