I would have no hesitation recommending The Grove! I’d also be delighted to return and stay again next time we are in Whitby!! We went for an occasion, but I’d love to go back and see more of Whitby. We had a really warm welcome from Danny and he helped us in with our bags. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. Loved the seating area outside the room (as we went with friends and met there before our breakfast). Lovey facilities - hospitality tray well stocked with fresh milk in the fridge on the landing of each floor. Nice breakfast too! Delightfully friendly hosts. Good location short walk to get to the bars and restaurants and seafront. Yes there are steps and yes it’s hilly but that’s the nature of places like Whitby! This is a really love place to stay and I hope to go back again.

We loved it - nothing to stop us returning!

from booking in to leaving on the last of our stay, the warmth of the staff was excellent, the guesthouse was very very clean the breakfasts each morning was enjoyable and well presented and nothing appeared to be a problem with the staff all rooms used were beautifully decorated and well presented the guesthouse as advertised was just a short stroll to the shops,bus / railway station we are looking forward to revisiting whitby again soon and have no hesitation to using the grove

other than there being no charge for staying we belive that nothing that can be done to improve the guesthouse

"Lovely Stay"

Very central location 5 minutes walk to the harbour ten to the beach.The room was lovely and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely just what you wanted to set you up for the day
