Tikitam Palms Boutique Hotel

What a great hotel with very nice villa’s and really personal and warm approach from all the people who work there. They want you to have a nice time. Food is very nice, drinks also. The avocado smoothie is really good! Villa is great. We had number 7 Swahili villa. Every day we were surrounded bij friendly monkeys and other beautiful animals. It is just a beautiful peaceful jungle near the beach. We loved the sea safari provided by the hotel by Juma. He was a great guide. Showed us the beautiful starfish and other magic of the sea. We had several really nice massages. The people of the reception were very helpful and kind. Also everybody that provided the food and served us by the pool. And of course the Masai people who provided safety. It is very nice that as a guest you can give your tips in a tip box with the reception and when they open the box, every employee gets the same amount of the tip. So also the people that work to make your vacation great and you don’t see. We had the honeymoon package and we felt really spoiled. It was good.

Vi hade fantastiska dagar. Men! Det finns ingen strand och att bada i havet är inte ett alternativ. Så trots det exklusiva och härliga så saknade vi möjligheten till promenader och fysisk aktivitet. Inget gym. Ett gym hade gjort hela skillnaden. Två tre dagar hade varit perfekt. Tips är: börja semestern här, varva ner och mys, men åk sedan till ett annat hotell där ni kan röra er mer

Really nice small resort! Great food and service. Nice pool area and sunbeds. Friendly cats and a gang of monkeys was fun. One evening live local music. Very calm so for romance and relax, not party. Wine and drinks available.

The villa was comfortable and had a great bath to soak in. Restaurant setting was fantastic but food choice was somewhat restricted and felt similar each night. For example they had a BBQ night one evening but it’s done on a hot griddle plate, same as every other night, not a proper BBQ.

The access down the beach is very limited (100m at best before you hit rocks) and we like goi g for walks up and down the beach but here it was impossible. Plus the sand was covered (and I mean covered!!!) in seaweed when we stayed although they were trying to shift some of it. The room had a TV but it’s difficult to watch with it being small ish and stuck in the corner of the room. No proper desk to work at my laptop. Internet was pretty slow, certainly no good for say Netflix.

Not a breakfast person. The staff always prepared the coffee just the way I wanted it! I also enjoyed the tea hour, quite refreshing. Bed prepared and sprayed whilst one is enjoying dinner, Priceless!

Flexibility to boil own water and make coffee as and when I feel like it. Though this was compensated by prompt service on request and the tea hour.

Les extérieurs sont jolis et bien entretenus, jardins, allées..) Par contre, je n’ai pas du tout apprécié ma chambre, avec un revêtement au sol en synthétique ( imitation parquet) ainsi que dans la sdb ( imitation marbre ) mais chaud qd on marche..) La literie est de mauvaise qualité ( matelas mousse ordinaire) draps en coton mélangé, la climatisation est bruyante et peu efficace, il n’y en a pas ds la sdb. Ce n’est pas digne d’un 5 étoiles D’autant que j’ai pu comparer avec l’hôtel précédent où j’ai passé le début de mon séjour ( parquet, plafond cathédrale, Clim dans toutes les pièces, literie de qualité..) Le personnel est agréable ( Merci à Zena, Zaina, Amiri ..) Par contre, honte au manager Gertrude, qui vous promet de gérer, et vous rappeler et ne rappelle jamais.D’ailleurs , je n’ai pas vu 1 seul manager venir voir ses clients au cours de la journée ou de la soirée,..étonnant !!

This hotel is something special! I got pampered to the max. The staff is so sweet and personal. They really care. I felt so welcome. The hotel itself is beautiful with loads of African art and gorgeously styled. It really looks Vogue. My room (the singles room) is classic and very chic. Each room has its own porch with leisure chairs and decorated privately with plants. The hotel is set up very spaciouly with lots of privacy and set in a wonderful garden full of trees and flowertrees. I enjoyed the beauty of it so much. There is a lovely swimmingpool and leisurebeds with traditional African grass parasols overlooking magnificent views of the ocean. They have a chef that cooks Live every day fresh food! In all kinds of nice styles, every evening has a different theme and you get to pick and eat awesome nice food. Lunches are great and the breakfast has a large variety of foods. I would recommend this hotel highly because of its chic style, authenticity and the staff that goes all the miles for you. I d love to come back!

Idyllic Boutique Hotel on the east coast of Zanzibar. The best hotel we’ve ever been to!Everything was very special. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. The rooms and pool are spotlessly clean. Ideally situally for diving at Mnemba and sightseeing. This is our 2nd visit and we will return again.

The hotel itself, the beautiful garden, the swimmingpool, my excellent (single) room, the food, but most of all the staff!

The beach is rocky

Few suites makes the time in Zanzibar a quiet relaxing rest after safaris. Beautifully decorated. Great food with a different specialty buffet menu each night by the ancient baobab hearing bushbabys around. What i missed was getting into the ocean. The beach is so small but in the morning you can walk an have the water at your ankles and see a lot of incredible sealife and reach small white sand banks. The room was simply perfect and private. Stayed at the Sultan Room. The staff give you extra attention to all your need. Excellent service. Far away from nearest town. Like 10 minutes drive.
