Lantern Riverside Hoi An

Booked 2 nights in a spacious Deluxe Double room with balcony and city view Was taken to a family room approximately half the size, with 2 double beds, very limited space, no views and noisy neighbours.. when I questioned the room allocation, it was dismissed out of hand and was told that I could move the following night to the room that I’d booked and paid for. After the second night I moved to alternative accommodation in Hoi An, it was the Hotel .. Gem … Riverside.. yes it cost a little more, but was superior in every way!!

Fantastic hotel in a great location. The room was much bigger and better than I expected. The staff were so helpful. I've stayed in Hoi An a few times and this is the best place I have stayed.

Great clean Guesthouse with an awesome location right next to the river and beside the night markets. Hung and her husband that own the guest house was very helpful and eager to assist us with information and arrange trips and tours for us. If you pay by CC please note that there is a 3% service charge. We were perched on the 3rd floor and hence had views (limited) of the river.

Located very close to everything. People were very nice. Breakfast was egg omelette with little veg and ban mi, coffee and tea

Was a barking dog forever in middle of night. Not in the owner control.

Third floor with no elevator. There is no place to put our clothes. Relatively high price comparing other hotels. No breakfast

It is a family run homestay. Not everyone can speak English but they try their hardest to help anyway. They arrange trip to My Son. The place is really clean. You have basic toiletries, fridge and kettle in the room. We have simple breakfast, bread, omelet and coffee. On the day of our trip to My Son they did not prepare breakfast for us, saying there's not enough time because it started at 7.30am. When we complained, they replaced it with a simple dinner of bread and fried eggs. If you want laundry done, they will arrange for.you at a small cost.

It does not have an elevator. Thankfully, the host helped with our bags to the 3rd floor when checking in. But at checkout I felt like throwing my bags down the stairs because I did quite a lot of shopping. :-Dq
