The rooms were beautiful. I liked opening the door with a key.

But it would have been nice to have more pleasant coffee

The positives come with a massive but.... The Rooms are beautiful and the free drink was a lovely touch. Beds are very comfy, and bathrooms was clean and had everything you need. Location was great. But.....

The noise!!! We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you plan on being out till after 1, when the bar closes. They have duelling pianos on a Fri/sat till 12. Then heavy bass music till 1am. We got back to the room on Fri night at 11pm and it was like they were playing the pianos in our room. It was so loud the floor was shaking and you could feel the vibrations on the toilet. We luckily had a party on Saturday so we got home at 1 and slept perfectly. You also hear a bit of street noise. We were on the first floor, so maybe 2nd floor is a bit better. So either bring earplugs, stay out till 1 or come mid week.

Renovated rooms are beautiful. Spacious, well equipped, clean.

Locality

I couldn't see out my windows. On arrival the air con unit was stuck on cold and my room was freezing. I was unable to turn the unit off. I had to borrow a heater from a family member who fortunately lived near by. The bathroom basin did not drain well and only one half of the toilet flush system worked. A bit disconcerting not having a reception desk or after hours contact phone number.

location was great. Bed was comfortable. Little lounge with a big tv is very adequate. Bathroom and shower very nice size.

No real space to leave clothes - A dishwasher was mentioned but not included. Heater was very hard to manage as the remote had no back and sometimes would not respond. Curtain was broken in the lounge room. The wash hand basin in the bathroom took ages to drain. Having only one key made it hard for two people.

Locational

Poor attention to items in the room - glasses, shampoo etc Three requests for early drop off for bags (we were attending a funeral) or early entry were ignored. Staff didn’t respond at all.
