Great room and accommodation. Didn’t know what to expect above a pub but it was great

They forgot to give us the fob to access lift so we could get in and out after hours.

This is a very well run hotel right in the heart of quaint Brunswick. All the hotel rooms are nicely remodeled and have a modern vibe. We liked the well-stuffed kitchen and the milk, coffee and tea provided. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, easy check-in. There is a hotel bar and a restaurant downstairs with live music and interactions almost every night. We stayed for one night only on a Monday where there was just Bingo going on, so the noise level was low, but they have dueling pianos on Fridays and weekends - too bad we missed it. The hotel does not provide parking, but there were some spaces on the streets in the neighborhood.

My son's room did not have that issue, but our room was next to an apartment building where the AC was running the whole night and it was quite noisy.

Staff was very helpful and friendly when they were available. Especially Resser who made us felt welcome and assisted us throughout. Initially we were worried as hotel was part of an old pub, and was not sure how it will turnout. Also Juan, Duty manager was helpful. As we were there to attend a function nearby, location was convenient. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, utilities adequate.

Not having a window in the room made it difficult staying in the room during day time for any length. Our sink was blocked and could not contact anyone directly out of pub working hours. Telephone number provided by Booking.com was not connected , we had to send an email! Not being able to contact anyone directly out of the pub hours was very inconvenient. Also, microwave in the room did not work properly, only cooking appliance in the room. So, place was only ok for a day or two.
