Happy Family Guesthouse

I loved the whole place - so full of fascinating plants and swaying palm trees and right on the river too - where colourful boats pass that are lovely to watch. It had a beautiful pool and lots of little statues of all sorts of things. And hammocks hanging everywhere. It made for this beautiful little wonderland to totally relax in. Also, there was lovely home-cooked local food as well. The staff were all super kind and looked after you. And one lady kindly offered to take me on a tour of Can Tho where I was headed and that was a highlight! I would say to people to let the property organise the taxi's as there is no Grab. The other thing was that i did quite alot of work whilst there on my computer. There is this beautiful terrace to sit that overlooks the river and it's a delight. It was quite the working holiday.

I loved my room; it was so so pretty. But if you like cotton sheets; then maybe bring your own.

Fantastic staff is always smiling and really helpful. Great restaurant right on the Mekong river. Good value room. Well organized mekong boat excursion with several experiences.

It looks challenging to get here although hotel staff perfectly organized all the connections with motorbikes and ferries from the Saigon bus. Mold is everywhere but this is unavoidable at the wet mekong environment. Food comes a bit slow.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The family were incredibly helpful, kind and welcoming. They organised a car from HCMC, organised a tour and we borrowed bikes to explore the local area. We loved it all. Nice food. Simple rooms. Wonderful atmosphere. I would recommend you staying here if you are looking to stay with a local family and discover the beautiful Mekong area. It was perfect!

Staying on An Binh was lovely and we enjoyed both biking and scootering around. We liked that the dining area was on the river. The staff were all friendly accommodating and the room was comfortable

The boats that were constantly docked in front of the dining area blocked the view of the river.

Our stay was lovely! The family that runs the place is very kind. The restaurant offers a great river view and plenty of vegetarian options. The rooms are simple but clean, and the garden is beautiful, with many spots to relax. The boat tour around the river, which they organized, is highly recommended. They also arranged a bus for us to return to Saigon. Thank you so much!

There was a gap between the wall and the ceiling, so you could hear all your neighbors and bathrooms.

Here you really get the authentic Mekong vibes. Sit in the riverside restaurant and watch the ships sail by, see the tides and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The pictures don’t really show it, but this homestay is a real oasis, with a nice pool, sundecks, billiards and a garden so you always find your own relaxing spot. There’s also a basic gym and outside good paths for doing morning jogs. And it’s quiet, except for the roosters trying to wake you up far too early;) Living here is unbelievably cheap. And the shower has hot water all the time!

I think the place actually would benefit of increasing the prices and invest that in replacing some stuff which is already quite worn, like the billiards and football tables or modernizing the rustic beds. The food is tasty but remember to preorder, as otherwise you need to wait - they don’t have anything premade.
