Great location, nice sized room although lighting in room not great. Freddi on reception was lovely.

Fantastic value for money and great accommodation. Everything you could need in a fantastic location.

The Whitworth Locke has a beautiful lobby and Winsome restaurant is fantastic. The apartment was spacious and the decor concept is lovely, but the rooms themselves felt a bit tired to be honest with a marked sofa, chipped paint, dark bedroom, and very poor pillows. For the price, you’re really paying for space rather than a luxury experience. Great potential, but currently caught between hotel and apartment-hotel without the best of either.

Love this place and aim to stay here whenever in Manchester.

Pros: - Beautiful Building - Great work/social space aside from apartments - Great facilities (gym, bar, coffee shop etc) - Staff very welcoming and friendly - Quiet (despite busy location, though may have been at back of the building) - Excellent location - Clean Cons: - No air con - room was very hot in the evening and windows not all able to open - Lighting in the apartment was not natural at all with bad mirror placement for getting ready - No bathroom extractor - very steamy!

Poorly maintained, though the location itself was ok at first. When I raised the issue, the response was a half-hearted apology before they simply turned away

This was my third time staying here, and I was disappointed. I stayed during Manc Pride. The room, whilst clean, wasn’t to the standard I’d previously experienced. One of the lights flashed when it was on, the Kitchenette didn’t have a dishwasher (for a room designed for four adults), the shower screen didn’t close properly, and the bathroom was extremely small. The staff were lovely with the exception a security guard one night who refused to believe that a same-sex couple could be sharing a room. He ask very abruptly “you’re in the same room?! I don’t believe you.” Staff had to intervene to sort the issue. The room issues were small and I wouldn’t let them put me off going back; however, for a queer-inclusive hotel, they need to sort the security out, especially at Pride!

Another great stay at Locke. Easy parking in NCP round the corner. Fab location
