"Nice little village accommodation next to a Castle!"

Richmond is a charming village with loads of history and the Castle House fits right into the vibe. Location is right off the main square and by nighttime it was completely quiet. We were worried because there was a carnival in town but now problem. Very convenient to dining, pubs and the castle. Check-in process went quickly. They have parking passes available and you get a welcome beverage too. Our room, The Wensley Suite was on the top floor with a nice view of one of the castle towers. Room was good size and typically decorated for a village B&B of this style. A little bit dark but lots of storage if needed. Bed was firm and pretty good. Nice touches - Water, glasses, coffee and biscuits. It was a hot day but were were able to prop open the windows at night and sleeping temp was comfortable with the fan. Breakfast was hearty and tasty. They had a full house and handled it all well.

We did have to wait until 4 pm to check in which was a little later that we'd like but we made it work. We didn't realize there wouldn't bee a standing shower with a curtain so that was pretty messy, water everywhere. Also the TV didn't work.
