Easterhoull Chalets

The chalets are well equipped and a brilliant base for exploring the central and south mainland on public transport. The views from the chalet are superb.

If travelling by public transport you need to be aware that to access the bus stop there are 50+ steps uphill followed by 200+ steps downhill. If returning from Lerwick then bus drivers will drop you at the top of the hill, but this is not an option if returning from Scalloway. Again, if using public transport, plan ahead - bring basics with you for the first night - there is no welcome pack included. You cannot just ‘nip to the shops’ - consider arranging a Tesco delivery of supplies if staying for a week. The provision of outdoor seating would have been nice to be able to sit and admire the views in the fresh air - there is no ‘patio’ so it did not feel appropriate to take the dining room chairs outside on to the grass.

Good location with great view, well equipped for our stay. Clean and warm sleeping conditions. Would stay again.

The kitchen could do with having a little freezer for ice/lollies etc and ice packs, the tv in the living room has signal issues whilst the tv in the bedroom worked fine, tv remote in living room needs new batteries.

Location great, easy to get to, good room size, room temperature, view great, room, kitchen and bathroom had everything needed, procedure for collecting and returning key straightforward, overall excellent

Car parking was good but on some occasions several 4x4 vehicles parked making parking a bit tricky as it's narrow. Also the power cable for fridge hanging down the front was a slight nuisance.

Location of property is ideally situated for travelling all over Shetland. The views from the property are also breathtaking. Self catering property so you can come and go as you please but all amenities are available to you if need be. Beautifully clean and decorated nicely, it was a joy to stay here.

The location was excellent with a wonderful view of the hiils and sea. The beds were excellent. No problem checking in, although there was meant to be a spare key in the key safe, but there wasn't.

The whole chalet had a tired, oldfashioned look and could do with some renovation. The kitchen was very small and one irritating feature was having to open the sink cupboard to be able to open the fridge. (Note:- access can be difficult for anyone with mobility problems, as cars are parked on the road above the site and access is down steps)

TV didn't work, wasn't a big issue but would have been nice to have

It had an expansive view of the countryside including Scalloway and sea. Good heating.

Inadequate level parking. Small rooms that were basically furnished. Minimum level of comfort offered. Some surfaces were unclean. Disappointing considering the previous reviews.
