Very helpful, friendly & attentive staff/owners, lovely location and very quiet for a restful sleep. Room well equipped, warm and very comfortable beds and was extremely good value per night considering a delicious cooked breakfast is included. Excellent restaurant quality food during the evening and they have a pleasant outdoor seating area too which was lovely in the sunshine. Very friendly locals too, both in the bar and when I was out walking my dog at night.

we had no complaints at all :) But If I have to say something, the steps up to the room were a struggle for my elderly dog, she slipped on them in her scramble to get down & unfortunately she's too big to carry. Would have been a problem had she needed to go outside in the night. Luckily she didn't. However, my mum is 84 and she had no problems at all with the steps & loved her stay.

Easy to find, free car parking. Stunning scenery. After a very long day the host was friendly and welcoming with a big smile. The evening meal was so delicious as was the breakfast in the morning. The room was beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed and a lovely clean bathroom.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

We liked the model of half B&B/ half pub. It led to a friendly atmosphere conducive to chatting to fellow guests. Non-residents can use the restaurant a couple of days a week and we could see that this retained the old pub as a community resource - that seemed a great way to keep the benefits of a local pub while keeping it manageable to run as a couple. Comfortable room with Netflix. Authentic Thai food was delicious (traditional English also available). We could keep our bikes in the function room overnight.

Fresh milk in the room for tea/coffee would have earned 10/10

A warm welcome and delicious evening meal on arrival. A cosy, clean room in a location that was perfect starting point for exploring the Welsh valleys.

Breakfast was ample and tasty, our evening meal there was delicious (all home cooking), and the location was beautiful in the heart of the lovely Welsh countryside. This is an excellent stay for hikers, cyclists or those just wishing to be in this beautiful location.
