Castle Inn

Great location. We only stayed one night because we were passing through on our way to south. The room was nice and comfortable, fully equipped. We had also dinner by their restaurant and the food was really good as well as the breakfast the following morning.

Can’t fault our stay

The location for us was perfect for an 9:00 start at the Phil Price Rally School a 15 minute drive away - even taking in a superb 'home-cooked' full English breakfast 😋. Comfortable beds, Ying was a very pleasant and chatty hostess, beautiful surroundings, though I guess the wall to wall blue skies made a difference! Evening dinner in the restaurant was also excellent in pub-style surroundings.

Friendly courteous staff, enjoyed an excellent Tie evening meal.

Fantastic food and lovely hosts

All just as I would want for an overnight stay

The proprietor told us if the window was open flies would come in and this was true. They’re surrounded by farms. I think a nice net blind on each of the windows would be good so you could have the window open especially as it was very hot when we stayed there. Everything else was perfect.

The breakfast was lovely and the location was ideal as I was attending the phil price rally school, also the main meals in the evening were very nice with a fantastic choice of either Thai or pie.

Had a fantastic stay at the castle in, me and my dad both had a renowned pie for our meal and it was so so good. The room was nice and clean with comfy twin beds. The breakfast the following morning was really good. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Not a “didn’t like” but Could be quite noisy at night due to footsteps next door/ around our room so had a bit of a disturbed sleep.
