The staff was amazing. Super helpful. I was stung by a bee at one of the temples and had a delayed reaction. They took me to the hospital, helped translate and helped with everything. They were fantastic. Apart from that, the food was great, the bungalows were gorgeous. I'd read that there were lots of mosquitos but didn't see many.

We really like the concept of the villas and the details surrounding and within the rooms. The venue beautifully marries the concept of Javanese traditional heritage with sustainable living. My family stayed in three different rooms with two being together in one private area. The attention to detail in these three is exceptional, and so is with the others. You feel like you are being transported to a Javanese village from back in time. The application of an "eco-hotel" also is a league on its own. In our view, the management team has exerted great lengths of effort in making the concept a realistic application. The location also is not too far from the city centre while offering the serenity of Yogyakarta's nature & village-like sides, also another aspect that we like which offers us peace. We also like the in-house made hygiene products, the eco-pool, the food and beverages served that are not only well presented but also tasty, and the drinks and teas available in our room. They also have their own concept store and we happened to experience a little bit of their weekly "bazaar", it was wonderful. It wouldn't be complete by commending the staff who were very helpful, friendly, and caring. Not only did we feel that our stay was quite personalised but also comfortable. Thank you very much to the host & the team. Definitely would come back again.

Oh, everything was nice! If we have to pick any, it may be at times that the atmosphere can be a little bit eery. But other than that everything was wonderful!

The bungalow were amazing. It was huge, exceeding my expectation. The bathroom also clean spacious, loved the provided shampoo and bath soap. The natural pool was very clean and we did jump in and it was refreshing. Breakfast was plenty of choices and huge portion. Lots of mosquitos but they provide bugs repellent in many formats.

The water heater is a bit tricky to run, and it took a very long time to fill up the bath tub. Many activities to do but it was heavy raining every day. Better to come here in dry season to get the full potential of the place.

Our stay exceeded our expectations, which were already high! The room was so beautiful! We loved the outdoor shower and all the attention to details inside the room. The staff was so helpful in planning our activities and helped book outings. They couldn’t have been more helpful and their recommendations were so much fun! We did silver smithing and made rings, we made batik with the local master and had so much fun! Then there’s the food!! It was so delicious! It was so nice to have fresh vegetables while traveling thanks to their local garden and washing the veggies in their purified lab tested water. We ate breakfast and dinner here all three nights and we’re excited from their extensive menu of local produce and traditional offerings. Don’t hesitate to make the booking!! It was a highlight of our trip! We hope to come back and bring family!

All the staff members were consistently engaged in ensuring my stay was a positive experience. Their exemplary hospitality made me feel welcomed and supported from my first communication to my departure. The staff’s friendly and accommodating approach perfectly complemented the beautiful resort environment and the well-maintained facilities.

If you visit from a Western country, you might need to get accustomed to the muezzins’ prayer announcements. Additionally, especially during the rainy season, it’s important to research how to keep mosquitoes away. These aspects are not related to the property but are part of the local cultural customs and natural conditions.

Nothing not to like except mozzies

Love the breakfast choice. My kids and Mrs suddenly like to eat sourdough bread because the ones served by Yabbiekayu was awesome. The staff are super friendly and nice. When they noticed that we did not finished our breakfast as we need to rush to Borubodur tour, they packed for us fruits which came handy which my children really needs it as they got hungry when we were having the tour.

Nothing much not to like about this place except the mozzies...

The eco-village is very beautiful, full of fruiting trees, birds, and fountains. The outdoor spaces are gorgeous, the staff is very friendly and can arrange transport for you.
