The Cedar Motel

The hotel manager was extremely nice and offered complimentary snacks, drinks etc. The hotel was cute and the exterior had a retro feel and was located across the road from the water and had a nice view. The interior of the room was nice and acceptable for the price paid.

The room did not offer a quiet sleep experience. The walls allowed noise from both rooms to be easily heard from our room. The room on one side had a tv playing loudly the entire night and the room on the other side had screaming/crying children. This hotel offers an inexpensive getaway if you are wanting a "party" atmosphere but not suitable for a romantic getaway which was our intention.

The location was excellent, the facilities were basic but serviceable. It is in a very peaceful area.

Disturbed second night as our neighbour had his television on all night playing Forensic Files. Very annoying.

This property is about 20 minutes from Cedar Point but is absolutely worth the extra. The water views of the bay are beautiful. There’s a restaurant/bar within walking distance with a rooftop deck that serves breakfast. The rooms were small but charming and very clean. Hot water with great pressure. Small fridge and microwave was just enough. My only complaint would be the bed was hard and thin, blankets and sheets were otherwise comfortable. The towels were soft and fluffy and they had actual soap/shampoo in the shower. Staff was on site 24 hours and easily reached. Highly recommend this property!

We visited in late September so end of peak season. Room had coffee maker, fridge and microwave. It is small as advertised but we enjoyed the bay view. They also had an outdoor seating area with grill and fire pit which we did not use but it had a great view of bay as well. Office had complimentary snacks and ice. We would stay here again.

The hotel is old and shows signs of wear but clean. It is surrounded by older homes. The rooms without the bay view are not as appealing.
