Friendly staff great location

I've stayed here twice now, and it's a lovely place to stay. It's in the town centre and a couple of minutes walk to the sea front. The prices are very good and not over inflated by 2 or 3 times as much during the holiday season as other guest houses do. The landlord Gary and landlady Tracy are fantastic hosts. Along with Adam, they all made me feel more than welcome, and I couldn't have asked for more. I will be moving to the area soon, and I will be visiting the Railway Inn on a regular basis and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

It is in a great location. Especially if you’re walking the south-west coast path the staff are very friendly. The sheets were clean it was a comfortable bed. I enjoyed my stay.

It is very basic, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. If you just want to be somewhere warm and dry and not pay fortune. It’s perfect.

In the Town

Close to town centre and train station

It was disgusting, the beds were noisy and uncomfortable. The room stank of poo it was soooo bad absolutely vile., The toilets had wee on floor, and light not working. The shower room was gross. The noise from the street and drunks shouting and music was soo loud and had someone knocking and shouting on our door at 4am ! Worst place I've ever stayed !×

Great bar with great music location was great right near the train station and in the middle of Dawlish

We knew there was no en suite when we booked but down a flight of stairs and shared with 3/4 rooms was a step to far for me and the toilet was tiny if your tall or wide you wont fit !

Everyone was lovely made my stay fun and memorable can’t wait to go back

Good location and although above a pub I found it very quiet. The room was quite dated but fitted my needs as I only needed a base. I'd happily stay again
