B&B La Petite Saunerie

Anna-List took excellent care of us for our 1-night stay. The room was lovely and comfortable, breakfast was fresh-baked and delicious, and her tips on things to do in Avignon (even in the low season) were spot on.

I would advise exercising extreme caution when dealing with these people. I booked room La Jeanne on the 16th November for two nights in July. My booking was accepted and was paid for in full. I have just had a refund in full with no explanation two months after I had booked. Phone calls not answered and finally, after two days, an email reply saying they were full. Frankly that’s a lie. I suspect they have either put their prices up or had a rental of the whole property to a group which meant we had to be cancelled. Do not assume they will treat your booking as a contract. To be on the safe side I would advise going elsewhere.

The staff was very smily and helpfull. Location is very good. Close to everywhere. The room size is 2-3 rooms size. Like we've booked an apartment. There are more than enough space for everything we have. Bed was comfortable and real double bed. There is an umbrella in the room for the rain (it was raining heavily and suddenly, the umbrella was like a gift). There was a smell coming from outside when we open the windows. The breakfast was not very good at all. There isn't any cheese for example. Mostly they have sweets. For me it's well but not for everyone.

This Band B is in a perfect location with Avignon sites, cafes and restaurants all close by.Anna Lisa welcomes you to her home which is typically French.....our room was huge with a very comfy bed and modern bathroom. We were in the Bourgeoise on the 1st floor. Great cafe and restaurants just around the corner.

We wish we could have stayed here for many more days! The room was lovely, Anne-Liese was charming and helpful, and the breakfast was NOT the typical B&B breakfast - there were so many homemade treats that we couldn't even sample everything. The B&B is also just around the block from the Palace of the Popes and many fine restaurants, but on a very quiet street. We only had one day in Avignon, and wish we'd had many more.

We stayed here for 2 nights but wish it had been longer! Our room was just beautiful - very spacious with high ceilings, a four-poster bed and a chandelier. Breakfast was a treat - homemade madeleines and cakes, rolls and fresh fruit, tea/coffee and amazing cheeses. Anne-Lise was a lovely hostess and made us feel at home.

If you look for history, beauty and romanse - this is a perfect place for you! Perfectly situated by the pope Palace. Mr Vincent and his wife are professional and gave us the possibility to chose the room that pleased us the most. Dining at a good restaurant nearby gave us the impression that this is a very romantic place to stay. Unique place- you will never find a simular any place! All in all you feel like entering Versailles when you go into your room.

Sadly we stayed just one night in this beautiful B&B. The room was so beautifully presented, with a very comfortable bed, great shower and space in the room to sit at a table to eat or work on the computer. Breakfast was a triumph of home made products, yoghurt, jams, and a variety of bread. This is a very traditional French breakfast, so no full cooked English breakfast, but why would you want this anyway, when the choices offered as so fresh and cooked in house. Breakfast is served in the dining space adjacent to the family kitchen which is delightful.

Anne-Lise was the perfect hostess! Her house is tucked away down a beautiful side street in the heart of the Old Town. The two rooms we saw were both beautiful. Though we booked for 'Bourgeoisie', when we arrived we were told that Booking.com had made a mistake and we'd have to stay in another, smaller room. It didn't matter. The room was double height with a stunning chandelier and free-standing bath a few feet from the bed. We had use of a private toilet and breakfast in the morning was all prepared by Anne-Lise. It was delicious! Couldn't recommend it more. A bargain in Avignon!

This B&B was a beautiful surprise. Hidden in a narrow street of Avignon, just behind the Popes' Building, it is a 19th century building maneged by a very nice family. The rooms are beautiful with original decoration on the walls. Two highlights: 1. the position is perfect to visit the historical center of avignon; 2. The breakfast is awesome, really, everyday homemade cakes, yogurt, bread and jam...if you pass by Avignone you must stop there.
