mist at Cape Tribulation

Beautiful surroundings so tropical and quiet. The balcony was amazing. The facilities were very clean and spacious.

Amazing setting beneath Mt Sorrow. Beautifully landscaped on edge of the rainforest. Quiet, blissful and luxurious. The hosts were lovely, very helpful and had thought of everything their guests could possibly need. The kitchen was very well stocked and equipped. The huge daybed on the deck was a special treat.

MIST is beautifully set in the heart of the rainforest, offering a peaceful escape surrounded by lush palms and natural beauty. The cabins, while not of the highest build quality, are comfortable and provide a great view of the surrounding rainforest. During our stay, we did experience some disappointment as the air conditioning in our cabin wasn’t working, and there didn’t seem to be a clear solution at the time. Lady Lilin, the host, was warm and welcoming at first, but her presence occasionally felt a little too involved, which slightly impacted the sense of privacy we were hoping for. Overall, our stay was enjoyable, and we’ve always loved coming to Cape Tribulation over the years. This was our first time at MIST, and while it’s a good place to stay, we feel there’s room for improvement - especially considering the rates charged. With a few refinements, it could truly shine.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mist at Cape Tribulation tremendously. The eco-luxe pavilion we stayed in was well-designed, clean and close to the amenities such as restaurants, Madja, Kulki boardwalks, and Thornton’s Beach lookout. In the evening, we also enjoyed sitting on the day-bed at the verandah, observing the sights and sounds of the floral and fauna of the Daintree Rainforest. Lilian and Kim were excellent hosts — hospitable, warm and friendly.

We wish we could stay longer.

A beautiful, well appointed, clean and comfortable self contained place to stay in the Daintree Rainforest. From the privacy of our deck on the end pavilion where we stayed, we had wonderful views of palms, rainforest and Mount Sorrow. We had everything we needed and loved our two nights here and would recommend staying at Mist.

The room has everything you need. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom nice and roomy. The check-in was great, Lilian was very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. Everything was clean, stylish, and fully equipped. I highly recommend staying at Mist at Cape Tribulation, what a gorgeous place to spend some quiet, quality time.

Suggest a standard lamp (upright lamp) in the living area for extra light.

It was kept so clean and comfortable. Super quiet and deep in nature which was great. Has a bbq for cooking out on the deck in the evening or day time. The hosts are lovely too.

Was all above what was expected.
