Americana Inn Motel

I did not stay. The staff woman/owner would not allow me to stay. I had just been to dmv to get a replacement ID card after my wallet being stolen. She did not accept the paper document I received from dmv as sufficient for her system to accept my stay. I let her know I had no where to go, spent my last money on the hotel, was to pick up medications for my disability and that's all the documents dmv provided me. She continued to tell me that I was not able to stay, and that she could not give ne a refund at that moment but would send booking.com an approval for the refund. As I stood outside in the cold I saw her on her computer looking online at different types of ID'S on line. I found and pretty strange and off putting after she refused me then to be looking at different ID styles on the internet.

Pretty much everything to be honest. I rang the bell a few times before her and her son came out and she helped me. She insisted I was being argumentative but I wasn't. I was desperately letting her know I needed the room, I paid for it and had nowhere to go in an area I wasn't from. She helped a gentleman promptly and kindly that came to the outside window where my luggage was sitting - not sure if he did anything to my luggage or it was in his way, but then she just came back to repeat herself condescending to me about how she wouldn't accept me, . I understood her and I am familiar with the nessesity and safty needs for an ID to protect a guest and I was not argumentative. However I was very disappointed and worried because I had to figure out what to do and how to be safe for the night. In reflection, multiple drivers licenses, IDs, disability documents, cell phones, email account, apple id accounts and ss identification are all in others possessions and most likly accepted everywhere, yet her system and other systems and businesses would accept them if someone else came in and even probably dont really check if identification matches how the person looks. I dont I've had and needed to replace over many ID's over the last 3-4 years after wallets being taken amongst the other important identification items i mentioned and the question that just came up for me is how is my safety personal and financial protected bycany businesses if people using my stolen id's and information(as she finally at tge very end mentioned). In any case, I will continue to file identification fraud and really hope that this all gets sorted out in my life - but in the meantime I really hope that she approved the refund as she stated she would and that I receive my money back soon. I will follow-up as well.
