"Excellent"

Old style motel. Very small room. Toilet is against the wall so very inconvenient to use. Ok, for very short stays. Nothing fancy about property.

"Check rooms for heat"

The room was cold and had no heating. After waiting for a couple of hours the proprietor brought a space heater and gave me a discount.

Older "mom-pop" motel kind of property. Beds were well worn but comfortable with decent sheets- blankets. Bathroom sink was mostly plugged and backed up quickly. Stall type shower was old and stained but clean. Water facets were at knee level with mismatched handles. Kitchenette stove top was clean but the electric burner heavily worn. Full sized refrigerator was clean and worked fine.

Black mold growing around the shower, partially under unpainted joint compound. It looks like an incomplete renovation in the shower area. Water damage on ceiling and walls

"they overbook, sent me to Motel 6. Too tired from driving all night and most of the day to argue."

Not having my room. Shuffled me off to motel 6 which was dirty and stunk. From what I gathered happens a lot.
