Overnight stay. Due to our own problems could not check in arriving after 12mn very good instructions to gain entry and directions to room. Breakfast made to order delicious and plentiful. Hotel is tierd in places but room was modern obviously newly updated. Bed very comfortable family are improving areas all the time. Well worth a visit if you are coming to Castle Douglas.
Food was really good snd they were very accommodating.

GBThis hotel was located at the end of an impressive tree lined entrance. An old building with heaps of character,staffed by a genuinely friendly and helpful staff. There was an impressive evening meal menu.
Not much. Friendly staff made us really welcome when we worked out where was the hotel entrance. A sign would have helped.
Very pleasant and friendly staff. Very accommodating. Large comfortable room. Good hearty breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

GBGBStaff were extremely friendly. Lovely family run business. They were renovating their function suites at the time ehich will be a fantastic addition to the hotel. There was no noise though. . Location was beautiful. Plenty of space to let our dogs go off-lead for a run. Food was great. Husband particularly enjoyed his curry. Room F was spacious with big soft blankets to cover beds from dogs provided and it was a nice touch to have the Scottish Tunnock bars.
Shower took about 2 minutes to warm up but then it was lovely and hot. The shower doors didn't quite meet at the bottom. Vanity unit door handles were rusty from condensation but that's really picking flies! It was a great place and very good value.
